Due to the 18-20° axle housing angle on the Dodge 4500/5500 pickup trucks a special adapter is required to support the 18100 Ball Joint Press to properly install the ball joint. This custom adapter locks in place on the rocker assembly and provides the correct geometry and design to support the press while installing new ball joints. This install adapter is designed to be used in conjunction with the cups that are included in the 18100 Ball Joint Press kit.
